Privacy-first by design. Nudgeto is built on the principle that you control your location data at all times. Every feature was designed with privacy as the foundation, not an afterthought.

1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account info: display name, username, email, phone number, date of birth, profile photo.
- Profile info: interests, pronouns, bio/tagline.
- User content: messages to connections, location-stamped posts.
- Support communications when you contact us.
1.2 Location Information
- Precise GPS only when you explicitly activate Find Now mode — shared only with mutual connections you are actively navigating to.
- Approximate location only when you activate Discoverable mode — intentionally reduced precision.
- We do NOT collect location when the app is closed or when you are in Invisible mode.
- Location data is not stored after sessions end. No location history is maintained.
- We do not share location with advertisers, data brokers, or any third parties.
1.3 Usage Information
- Device type, OS, unique identifiers, mobile network info.
- Features used, screens viewed, session duration, crash reports.
- Your list of mutual connections within the app (not your phone contacts).
1.4 Third-Party Data
- Event data from Eventbrite, Facebook Events, and Meetup. We do not share your data with these platforms.
- Place data from Google Places API. We do not share personal data with Google beyond standard API usage.
2. How We Use Your Information
To provide and improve the Service; enable location sharing between mutual connections; show nearby events and vendors; match you with connections who share your interests; send notifications subject to your preferences; respond to support requests; detect and prevent abuse; and comply with legal obligations.
We do NOT sell your data, serve targeted ads based on location history, or build commercial location profiles.
3. How We Share Your Information
3.1 With Other Users
Your display name, profile photo, interests, and bio are visible only to mutual connections. Non-connections cannot see your location, profile, or any personal information.
3.2 With Service Providers
- Google Firebase: infrastructure, database, authentication, analytics.
- Apple / Google: app distribution only.
- Affiliate partners: anonymized, aggregated interaction data only. Your personal identity is never shared.
3.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information when required by law or valid legal process.
3.4 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger or acquisition, we will notify you before your information is subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Age Restriction (18+ Only)
Nudgeto is an 18+ platform. We do not collect personal information from anyone under 18. Age is verified at account creation — there are no exceptions, restricted modes, or workarounds for users under 18. Any account found to belong to a user under 18 will be immediately terminated and all associated data permanently deleted. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact support@nudgeto.com immediately.
5. Data Retention
- Active accounts: data retained while your account is active.
- Deleted accounts: all personal data permanently removed within 30 days.
- Location session data: not retained beyond the active session. No history stored.
- Messages: retained until deleted by you or your connection, or on account deletion.
6. Your Privacy Rights
All Users
You may access, correct, or delete your data at any time through the app. You have real-time control over visibility at all times.
California Residents (CCPA)
You have the right to know what data we collect, delete your data, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Contact support@nudgeto.com.
European Users (GDPR)
You have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, and data portability. Contact support@nudgeto.com.
7. Security
All data transmitted via HTTPS. Data at rest encrypted via Firebase standards. Location data never stored in server logs. Access restricted to authorized personnel. No transmission method is 100% secure.
8. Changes
We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. We encourage periodic review.
